Explore where certificates from specific production devices got allocated to
This article explains how to explore where generation from a specific asset was allocated using the Supply view and the Allocated volumes page.
What is this about?
Once an allocation has been run, you may need to verify where the output from your asset actually ended up and which customers received it. The platform gives you two ways to explore this: the Supply view in Dashboards and the Allocated volumes page in the Allocation section. Both show allocation data from the supply perspective, but they serve different purposes.
How to explore allocations from an asset
Option 1: Supply view (Dashboards)
The Supply view is the right starting point for a high-level overview of how much of the asset is allocated.
- Go to Dashboards in the left-hand navigation.
- Select the Supply view tab.
- Use the filters and grouping options to scope the view to the asset.
- You can also select groups of assets by attributes, such as technology (e.g. Wind) or location (e.g. country or state).
What you'll see: The supply side of your portfolio - this includes owned assets, PPAs, and other market purchases. Here you can see current inventory that has already been delivered, such as expected or contracted inventory (e.g. buy deals that will be delivered in the future). You can also see any allocations made from the generation. Use the grouping and filtering options to break down allocation coverage by device, technology, country, or other dimensions.
The screenshot below shows the total of your generation, filtered for wind assets (box on the top left) brogen down by month. The box on the bottom shows a high-level overview what customer the power was allocated to.

The Supply view also includes a table option under Custom table views to build, save, and export your own tables for viewing detailed data.
Note: The Supply view focuses on providing information about the supply. If you want to see more detail related to the demand of a customer or deal that was allocated the supply volumes, you can use the Demand view or Allocated volumes page.

Option 2: Allocated volumes (Allocation section)
For a more granular, record-level view of allocations, use the Allocated volumes page.
- Go to Allocation in the left-hand navigation pane.
- Select Allocated volumes.
- Use the grouping and filtering options to filter by asset, device, or supply source.
What you'll see: A detailed, filterable view of all allocated volumes, showing exactly which supply volumes were matched to which demand, with full attribute detail. You can also use this to view allocation outcomes by other attributes in the demand portfolio. One example would be viewing asset allocated volumes for all customers enrolled in the same tariff, which can be further drilled down to the specific customer level.
Note that the Allocation view only shows volumes from the supply that have been allocated to a customer or counterparty. Volumes that have not yet been allocated to a customer will not show up in this view - however can be explored in the Supply view as described in Option 1.

Supply view vs. Allocated volumes: key differences
The Supply view is useful for ongoing monitoring; the Allocated volumes page is better suited for reconciliation, reporting, or answering specific customer queries.
