Defining contract dates & tags for your consumption metering points
Overview
Energy suppliers often need to group consumers and metering points in various ways to reflect changes in ownership, grouping, or operational needs. The contracts & tags feature addresses this need by allowing users to define and manage these relationships over time. This ensures that all allocations, reporting, and metrics are accurately aligned with the current state of the portfolio.
- Adding a tag: When uploading data via CSV upload, you can now include tags as column headers against specific metering points. Tags can represent various relationships, such as consumer groups, brokes/TPIs, tariffs, or sites.
- Adding contract validity dates: When uploading data via CSV upload, you can now fill out a start date and end date against specific metering points to communicate their validity
Implications for Allocations and Reporting:
Allocations
Users can now allocate energy at different levels of grouping, from individual metering points to consumer groups. The platform ensures that the allocations are consistent with the defined tags and contracts.
Reporting
Metrics can be aggregated based on the tags or contracts, providing a clear view of performance across different consumer groups or products.
The contracts & tags feature offers a robust solution for managing complex portfolios. By leveraging tags and contracts, users can ensure that their portfolio management reflects real-world relationships and changes over time, leading to more accurate allocations and reporting.
